About

Changing Behaviour is a UK based training co20170413_100500 (1)mpany that provides real solutions for managing, and changing, challenging behaviour in a variety of educational and care settings. From Nursery through to adults, Changing Behaviour provides training, resources and practical plans for schools and services working with challenging behaviour.

Clare Edmondson, founder of Changing Behaviour, has worked in a variety of challenging mainstream schools, mental health school units, ASD units and pupil referral units. She has a wealth of expertise in working with the most challenging of students and has been a Team-Teach trainer for over 6 years, delivering the training both in school settings and further afield.

Changing Behaviour specialises in Team-Teach courses (physical intervention and de-escalation training), mental health training, emotional literacy, understanding and working with pupils with challenging behaviour and behaviour for learning.

An important aspect of the company is ensuring that we give back to schools and other care settings. Currently, freelancers working for Changing Behaviour volunteer a minimum of half  day a month to a school. The purpose of this is to help support a child that is at risk of exclusion as we understand how difficult school finances are at the moment.

This voluntary work can take many different forms for example; having a free and funded child behaviour consultation, or using the freelancer to cover a teacher that needs a bit of rest-bite, or offering intense training to key staff involved with the child. Anything that will help a child that is at risk of exclusion. We select a few schools a month for this – if you are interested in this service for your school/setting please contact us.
